Nanaimo Hospice has been a part of the fabric of the community of Nanaimo for over 40 years, providing compassionate care, support, education and advocacy for those who are facing end of life challenges. Hospice’s team of professional staff and trained volunteers are here to help, whether facing terminal illness, palliative care, anticipatory grief or bereavement.
Nanaimo Hospice hosts our annual Hike for Hospice to raise awareness and funds that directly support our free counselling and bereavement programs and services. We are excited to announce that 2023 is our 20th Anniversary Hike for Hospice! September 16th is the date of this special Hike and we are hopeful that our Community will be as excited about this year’s event as we are.
To celebrate this exciting milestone, we have a fundraising goal of $50,000. With the demand for our services increasing every year and an active waitlist, we need our Community’s support more than ever.
